The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA - superseded by the Equality Act) was introduced in 1995 to promote equality and in particular to influence the built environment to improve access for all. Any “Service Provider” must take reasonable steps to ensure that all building users, regardless of disability, can access and use the facility. At CPW Surveyors Ltd, a survey can be carried out to establish the existing physical environment and advise, if necessary, on any solutions, in order that you comply. We can present this within a report to enable you to take it forward to procuring any required building work. We can also assist in managing any such work if need be. Our experience and expertise has helped us to deliver a variety of DDA alteration work within public buildings including accessible toilets, main reception/entrances and ramp access to name a few.
